Objectives
You will learn techniques that will enable you to practise hypnotherapy, and will be able to specialise thanks to the themes covered throughout the year.
Both classical and Ericksonian hypnosis will be studied, although the two approaches are complementary.
What sets this innovative course apart is that, after this year's training, you'll be completely autonomous. You won't need any further training to practise hypnotherapy independently or in a medical setting.
This course will give you an in-depth knowledge of hypnosis, both in theory and in practice, and will enable you to practise hypnosis in a professional setting without any prior knowledge.
- 1st session : Introduction to hypnosis, preliminary tests, how to hypnotise, suggestions, inductions and self-hypnosis
- 2nd session : Classical and Eriksonian hypnosis, languages, symbols, dream analysis, anamnesis, improvisation exercises for induction and case studies
- 3rd session : Reconnection, case analysis, treatment and sessions, choosing the best treatment, Aron stages, depth tests
- 4th session : Self-confidence, strengthening the ego, managing emotions, managing stress (emotional disorders, depression)
- 5th session : Food management, anorexia-bulimia and smoking cessation
- 6th session : Anxiety disorders, anxieties, phobias, fears
- 7th session : Regressions and hypnosis with children
- 8th session : Pain management, pathologies, preparation for childbirth, light anaesthesia
- 9th session : Therapeutic relationship
During the course, you will be given scripts to practise with. You will also learn how to write your own scripts, analyse dreams - the royal road to the unconscious - understand symbols, use and understand how to identify your patient with a solid medical history and set up an effective therapeutic treatment.
Practical exercises will be covered during the course and especially in the workshops. The workshops will help you apply and reinforce your knowledge as they involve former students and encourage the exchange of knowledge.
The exam
To qualify as a hypnotherapist, you will be assessed on 3 criteria:
- Practical : Carrying out a case study and treatment with another student (treating a simple problem such as: relaxation, nail biting, etc.), a report will have to be written up
- Practical : Treat a real patient, you will be assessed during a session with your patient.
- Theory : A written exam at the end of the year
The aim of these 3 assessments is to prepare you to practise hypnosis at the end of your training.
Certification
Trainees who participate in the course cycle and successfully complete the ongoing assessments and the final examination will receive an ASCA-accredited Temet Nosce hypnotherapist diploma and optional ‘Certified Hypnotist’ or ‘Certified Hypnotherapist’ certification from the NGH (NGH certificate fees not included in the course fee).
The course is recognised as a 2nd cycle course by the ASCA.
